Hey there! My name is Colby. I'm a software developer from the heart of Cajun Country, Lafayette, Louisiana.
My Journey
I graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2012 with a degree in Communication. I've always been passionate about computers and technology, even so much that I became the family tech support person at the age of 10. I've always been a people person, which is why I thought I wanted a degree in mass communication, but after working in marketing and radio for a few years, I realized that wasn't my true calling. I enrolled in a coding school in 2019 and I've now found my true path.
This career has been incredibly rewarding, challenging, and fun. I really love pushing myself to learn more and become a stronger developer. I'm excited to see where this journey takes me.
Who Am I?
I'm a husband to an amazing wife, Katie. We have two cats and one dog. We live in Lafayette, Louisiana. When I'm not playing video games or coding, I love cooking. I'm especially proud of my ramen recipe that I've been developing for ten years. A 30 hour tonkatsu broth, homemade noodes, perfectly cooked soft boiled eggs, and I've even perfected the chashu pork.
I love card games, board games, and tabletop RPGs. I play Dungeons & Dragons with some of my dearest friends every two weeks.
